This research aims to determine the relationship between students' perceptions regarding the implementation of industry-based Teaching Factory and the culinary skills of class XI SMKN 1 Lembah Gumanti. The research uses a quantitative approach with ex post facto correlational research. The research population consisted of 50 class XI students of the culinary skills program, with a sampling technique using total sampling, so that the entire population was used as the research sample. Data collection was carried out using a questionnaire that had been tested for validity and reliability. Data analysis includes descriptive statistics, normality test, linearity test, Pearson correlation test, simple linear regression analysis, and coefficient of determination. The research results show that the data is normally distributed and has a linear relationship. The results of the Pearson correlation test show that there is a significant relationship between students' perceptions of the implementation of industry-based Teaching Factory and students' culinary skills (r = 0.295; p = 0.038 < 0.05). Regression analysis produces the equation Y = 62.527 + 0.364 Thus, it can be concluded that students' perceptions of the implementation of industry-based Teaching Factory have a positive and significant relationship to the culinary skills of class XI SMKN 1 Lembah Gumanti, although the level of relationship is relatively low.
Wirhamni Wirhamni Ezi Anggraini Asmar Yulastri Wiwik Indrayeni Copyright (c) 2026 Educia Journal http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0/ 2026-07-30 2026-07-30 4 2 307 319 The Contribution of Interactive Card Game-Based Learning Media in Stimulating Student Learning Motivation https://www.scieclouds.com/index.php/ej/article/view/1132
Student learning motivation plays a crucial role in achieving successful learning outcomes, particularly in vocational education where theoretical knowledge must be integrated with practical competencies. However, theoretical instruction in the Basics of the Culinary Expertise Program is frequently delivered using conventional teacher-centered approaches, resulting in limited student participation and declining learning motivation. This study aimed to examine the relationship between the use of interactive card game learning media and the learning motivation of tenth-grade Culinary students at SMK Negeri 1 Pasaman. A quantitative correlational research design was employed involving all 65 students in the population through a total sampling technique. Data were collected using two structured Likert-scale questionnaires measuring the implementation of interactive card game learning media and students' learning motivation. The research instruments were validated and tested for reliability prior to data collection. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, the Shapiro Wilk normality test, the linearity test, Pearson Product Moment correlation analysis, and the coefficient of determination with the assistance of IBM SPSS Statistics version 25. The findings revealed that the implementation of interactive card game learning media was categorized as good (mean = 84.49), while students' learning motivation was categorized as high (mean = 87.83). Pearson correlation analysis demonstrated a positive and statistically significant relationship between the use of interactive card game learning media and learning motivation (r = 0.664, p < 0.001). Furthermore, the coefficient of determination indicated that interactive card game learning media explained 44.1% of the variance in students' learning motivation. These findings suggest that interactive card game learning media represent an effective instructional strategy for promoting active learning, strengthening student motivation, and improving the quality of learning management in vocational education.
Syifaul Azri Cici Andriani Wiwik Gusnita Nurhasanah Nurhasanah Copyright (c) 2026 Educia Journal http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0/ 2026-08-08 2026-08-08 4 2 320 334 The Relationship Between Field Work Experience (PKL) and Learning Interest in Fashion Practice Subjects Among Grade XII Students of SMKN 1 Lembah Gumanti https://www.scieclouds.com/index.php/ej/article/view/1142
This study aims to analyze the relationship between Field Work Experience (Praktik Kerja Lapangan / PKL) and student learning interest in Fashion Practice subjects among grade XII students at SMKN 1 LEMBAH GUMANTI. It is hoped that this school literacy program can foster a desire to read and write from an early age. At Gunung Tabur 001 Public Elementary School, Gunung Tabur 002 Public Elementary School, Maluang 001 Public Elementary School, and Samburakat 001 Public Elementary School in Gunung Tabur District, Berau Regency, the school literacy movement was carried out using the CIPP evaluation model. The results of the study showed that in the four schools implementing the School Literacy Movement Program, Context Evaluation had low interest in reading. In addition, students did not make a habit of reading every day. This program supports the vision, mission, and educational goals of the school and instills a culture of reading from an early age. However, its implementation will be adjusted to the circumstances and limitations of the school. According to the Input Evaluation, human resources, facilities, and supporting infrastructure still do not meet the ideal criteria for implementing the School Literacy Movement. Library management is carried out by teachers without special library competencies, literacy training for teachers is not evenly distributed. The Process Evaluation shows that the implementation of the School Literacy Movement still faces various obstacles, including inconsistent reading activities, limited learning time, low student interest in reading, and suboptimal monitoring and involvement of external parties. The Product Evaluation shows that the School Literacy Movement Program has produced positive initial results in the form of increased interest in reading in some students, increased vocabulary, and ease in understanding lessons. However, these achievements are not evenly distributed and are still in the initial stages, so strengthening and sustainability of the program are needed so that the expected goals can be optimally achieved.
Siti Sabariah Suroyo Suroyo Amalia Sapriati Copyright (c) 2026 Educia Journal http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0/ 2026-08-26 2026-08-26 4 2 340 360 Development and Feasibility of Interactive Learning Video as Instructional Media for Dance Learning in Senior High School https://www.scieclouds.com/index.php/ej/article/view/1117
This study aimed to develop interactive learning videos as a medium for dance appreciation and to assess their theoretical and empirical feasibility. The research employed the Research and Development (R&D) method using the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation) as developed by Branch (2009). The product consists of three interactive learning videos on the Edpuzzle platform, covering the meanings and symbols of dance elements, and designed as the primary medium for the Information Discovery stage within the Case Based Learning (CBL) instructional model. The research was conducted at SMAN 29 Jakarta and SMAN 90 Jakarta. Product feasibility was assessed from two sources: theoretical feasibility through validation by three experts (material, media, and instructional design), and empirical feasibility through student response questionnaires in a small-scale trial (n=5) and large-scale trial (n=20), as well as teacher assessment (n=1). Expert validation yielded an average of 88.0% (Very Good); the small-scale trial yielded 84.5% (Very Good); the large-scale trial yielded 92.5% (Very Good); and teacher response reached 92.4% (Very Good). The overall average feasibility across all sources reached 89.4% (Very Good). Therefore, the developed interactive learning video is declared theoretically and empirically feasible as a medium for appreciating dance works in tenth-grade senior high school classes.
Stefi Winda Pratiwi Elindra Yetti Rizki Taufik Rakhman Copyright (c) 2026 Educia Journal http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0/ 2026-08-27 2026-08-27 4 2 361 371 10.71435/741536 Development of a Malay Culture-Based E-Module for Teaching Expository Text Reading Assisted by Flipbook for Eighth-Grade Junior High School Student https://www.scieclouds.com/index.php/ej/article/view/1118
This study aimed to develop a Flipbook-assisted teaching e-module for reading exposition texts based on Malay culture for eighth-grade junior high school students and to describe the form and structure of the developed product. This study aims to analyze the effect of arithmetic operation ability and emotional intelligence, both partially and simultaneously, on physics problem-solving ability among senior high school students. To achieve this objective, the study employed a quantitative approach with a multiple linear regression design. The population comprised eleventh-grade students with a total sample of 72 students. The sample was determined through three stages: purposive sampling to select the research schools, proportionate stratified sampling to determine the sample proportion from each school, and random sampling to select students from the designated classes. Data were collected using written essay-type tests to measure arithmetic operation ability and physics problem-solving ability (based on Polya's stages), as well as a Likert-scale questionnaire to measure emotional intelligence. Based on the hypothesis testing results, the findings are as follows: (1) arithmetic operation ability has a positive and significant effect on physics problem-solving ability (t = 8.931; sig < 0.001); (2) emotional intelligence has a positive and significant effect on physics problem-solving ability (t = 6.618; sig < 0.001); and (3) arithmetic operation ability and emotional intelligence jointly have a significant effect on physics problem-solving ability (F = 53.542; sig < 0.001), accounting for 60.8% of the variance. This study underscores the importance of an integrated approach that combines cognitive (arithmetic operation) and affective (emotional) aspects in physics learning to optimally enhance students' problem-solving skills.
Yuliana Yuliana Siti Wahyuni Copyright (c) 2026 Educia Journal http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0/ 2026-09-02 2026-09-02 4 2 403 410 10.71435/741605 The Relation of Parenting Style and Literacy Skills of 4th Grade Elementary School Students https://www.scieclouds.com/index.php/ej/article/view/1121
Students' ability to read, write, comprehend, and use information effectively is a cornerstone of their literacy abilities. The necessity to uncover elements linked with literacy development, particularly family-related issues, is highlighted by the fact that international assessment results show that Indonesian students' reading proficiency remains below expectations. The purpose of this research was to examine the third graders' reading levels at SDN Kampung Sawah in connection to their parents' parenting approaches. Researchers used a quantitative correlational approach. With the use of the Proportionate Stratified Random Sampling method, 80 out of a total of 101 students were chosen for the study. A reading skills test and a parenting style questionnaire were used to gather data. We used Pearson's product-moment correlation, validity, reliability, and normalcy tests to analyse the data. A good and substantial association between parenting styles and pupils' reading abilities was shown by the results, which showed a correlation coefficient of 0.623 with a significance value of <0.001. Students' reading abilities were impacted by parental approaches to the tune of 38.81%. According to these results, primary school pupils' literacy development is greatly aided by parents' active participation and good parenting practices.
Fajri Novrizal Wuri Wuryandani Copyright (c) 2026 Educia Journal http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0/ 2026-09-03 2026-09-03 4 2 411 422 10.71435/741637
